Select Settings in the top bar of the window to open the settings page. This page covers the settings you reach for most, the shortcuts, how updates work, and what to do about common problems.

Interface language and appearance
- Open Settings → General.
- Choose a language under Interface language, or choose Follow system. A change applies at once.
- Adjust Appearance color, Window background, and the font size as you like.
If your graphics card is weak or the interface stutters, turn on Low graphics mode, which drops frosted glass, large shadows, and decorative animation.
Models
You pick the model for everyday chats in the input box. Settings → Models assigns a model to each of the Agent's roles:
- Agent role models: the chat fallback model, plan drafting, result review, Subagents (fast / standard / deep), and image analysis.
- Fallback model chain: when the main model keeps failing, runs out of quota, or goes offline, these models are used in order to carry the turn on. Select Add fallback model to set them up.
Agent behavior
- Agent action safety confirmation: whether a card asks before a high-risk action runs, and how long the card waits.
- Agent file access scope: Restricted mode or Full access mode, with the same meaning as in the setup wizard; see Setting up StablEdge.
- Allow the Agent to read my terminal logs: with this on, the Agent can read the output of terminals you opened yourself.
- Subagent concurrency limit: how many Subagents can run at the same time.

Updates
- When a new version is out, StablEdge reports that one is available. Look at what changed, then download and install; to wait, select Later.
- To check by hand, open Settings → About and select Check for updates; when an update is there, select Download and install. The app restarts by itself once the install finishes.
- The Announcements entry on the right of the title bar shows earlier release announcements. What changed in each version is also listed in Changelog.
FAQ
Signing in reports "wrong username or password" or "this account has not joined any enterprise"
Accounts are issued by your enterprise administrator. Check the username and password; if you have forgotten the password or your account has not joined an enterprise, contact the administrator of your enterprise.
"Your account is signed in on another device"
Once the same account signs in on another device, this device is signed out. Sign in again.
Choosing the global workspace folder reports that the folder is unavailable
The global workspace folder must be an empty folder on this computer: not a disk root, not your home folder, not a symbolic link, not a network share, and not a folder of StablEdge's own. Create an empty folder and pick that.
The Agent says it cannot read a file
In Restricted mode the Agent can reach only files in the knowledge base and the conversation output folder. Send the file to it as an attachment, put it in the current project, or switch to Full access mode under Settings → Agent.
Scheduled tasks or Remote Control do not respond
Scheduled tasks and Remote Control both run along with the desktop app. They keep running when you close the window or minimize to the tray, and stop once you quit the app. A scheduled run missed while the computer slept is not caught up.
The local knowledge base reports "semantic search unavailable"
Semantic search is not enabled in this version, so a local knowledge base runs full-text search only. This is normal.
The interface stutters
Turn on Low graphics mode under Settings → General, or set Window background to a plain color.
